The Mugshot isn't just the kind of place you sit, drink, and hide from the world, although it provides that pretty well; it's also the kind of place that you can unexpectedly get some truly imaginative and delicious food in a comfortable and welcoming space. In a neighbourhood like High Park, The Mugshot Tavern is unrivaled in every respect.
Great food and fantastic service! head to high park for a hike then to this pub for some brunch and I have nothing but great things to say about this little bar.
Definitely something I'll check out again!
Here is a bar that has it all.
Fantastic service, drinks, and food. What more could we ask for?
A great local pub with fantastic food, and staff members who know what you'd like better than you do. We'll definitely be back!
The Mugshot Tavern is my new home. Anybody there at the moment, feel free to finish your meals and pints, but please do pick up after yourself, because I’m moving in. That is just how comfortable I felt at High Park’s newest watering hole, and soon-to-be (if not already) hotspot.
Serving comfort food for just over a year now, The Mugshot Tavern offers up a fried-chicken dinner of epic proportions ($15). A drumstick, a thigh, and half a breast come with a huge “side” of mac and cheese. You could, instead, choose fries or mashed potatoes, but don’t—the cheesy macaroni should be mandatory it’s so good. It doesn’t totally steal the show, as the chicken is crispy, juicy, and just greasy enough. Your napkins will be well used.
My new favorite pub! The food is incredible - real comfort food - mac n' cheese fritters = yum. The portions are insane so be prepared for that. If you're a craft beer fan you're in luck - they have lovely wine too! Tavern is filled with mugshot photos mainly of celebrities - very cool!!
The Mugshot Tavern is a newer pub that’s garnered quite a following for its commitment to local and craft brews, a quality Southern-inspired menu of comfort foods, and a small, intimate patio.
And what goes with good beer better than fried chicken, battered corn dogs and macaroni and cheese? Its “soul comfort food” menu is cunningly designed to restore the energy depleted hiking in the park.
The menu offers some original ideas at affordable prices. Stop by for a pint, you won't be disappointed.
