Beer and stuff

Hey friends, I’ve decided to use this blog to keep you folks updated with all the great beer news that is happening here at The Mugshot Tavern. First I want to give a big thanks to Chris over at for putting me in contact with brewer Sam Corbeil from Sawdust City. Over the next few weeks we’ll be featuring Sawdust City’s Ol’Woody Alt Bier and Lone Pine IPA. When talking about new beers that I’ll be bringing into the bar I’ll generally try to add some tasting notes, so that you folks have an idea of what to expect from these new brews. The Ol’Woody is a nicely balanced German style ale. The ale pours a dark copper hue with some nice lacing. Flavor is fairly well balanced between toasty-bready malts and herbal woody hops with a long dry bittersweet nutty malty finish with a hop bite. The Pine IPA pours a hazy orange amber with fantastic citrus/mango aromatics. Has a wee bit of a malt accent to start then its followed with some citrus and hop bittering to finish. Being a hop head I’m very excited to have this IPA on tap, my liver….. not so excited. Also this week we will be featuring Great Lakes Winter Ale. This ale taste like Santa Clause gift wrapped flavor and left the presents in your mouth. Hope to see ya’ll for a pint soon.
